York Castle Area.

This panoramic photo shows Clifford's Tower, which has excellent views from the top. Also here is the Castle Museum (well worth a visit) and the York Crown Courts. In February the Viking Festival have battle re-enactments here. There is a public car park next to Clifford's Tower, but this can get full at weekends. The York Hilton Hotel is located next to the tower.
