Brilliant atmosphere, friendly staff, food excellent and drinks at reasonable prices. Best restaurant in York by far! Absolutely no negatives. Dec 07 / 5 Stars - Excellent!!
The Biltmore is one of the best places to eat (and drink!) in York, without doubt. The food is consistently good and the setting is different and very stylish. Excellent. Nov 2007 / 5 Stars - Excellent
Best place in York to meet amazing ladies. Thanks Shany!! Nov 2007 / 5 Stars - Excellent
Sally and Andrew made the prospect of throwing a family 18th birthday party for my son, into an experience that was painless and enjoyable. The whole family enjoyed themselves, the food, the wine and the cocktails were excellent I can highly recommend the Biltmore food, drink and staff. Thank you Sally, Andrew and staff. The Roberts family. Nov 2007 / 5 Stars - Highly Recommended
Biltmore is quite exciting! Given that it's in York it's borderline amazing! The menu is modern and interesting the kitchen brigade are clearly well managed as they produce consistent food of a high standard (visit after visit). The service can be a little patchy but the staff are friendly and helpful and the ambience and style of the place make up for any lapses. Oct 2007 / 5 Stars - Excellent
Was scared to enter this place as it really looks expensive. It can be if you go for one of their expensive champagnes or eat in their Vintage Restaurant on the first floor. However my partner and I enjoyed a glass of wine, two lovely starters and 2 steak lunches for £9.95 a head. Exceptional value and cooked really beautifully. I enjoyed a couple of pints of Grolsch at about the going rate while my partner indulged in 2 glasses of moet - which at £6.50 a glass is not out of order. My advice is, this is simply a lovely place - it is not expensive, in fact it is really good value. It is very close to the dumps known as La Tasca and the Slug and Lettuce. Give these a body swerve and you will probably find you save money on your evening out and have a real quality experience. By the way they also do brilliant pizzas. Unique surroundings with very popular centrally placed bar on the ground floor and restaurant on upper gallery. Food in restaurant good but pricy. Impressive wine list, up to £400. If you are looking for a romantic or intimate meal then this is not the place. Far too noisy.
