Harvilles Harvilles Restaurant Fossgate has in recent years become a popular street in York known for good restaurants and good food. Fossgate is located at the bottom of the famous street The Shambles. Harvilles is the latest new restaurant that serves the best Aberdeen Angus steaks and also specialises in oysters and seafood. They also have a blackboard with changing specialises. The interior of the restaurant is very smart which replicates the Art Deco era.
Harvilles in York also boasts the Oyster Cellar Bar with fresh fish counter and saltwater tank. The Oyster Cellar has one of the finest selections of Champagne in the region. With cold beers and Guinness on tap, it is a delightfully intimate place to meet friends and have a drink or enjoy the freshest seafood from our menus and daily changing blackboards. Open mon-sat, last food orders evenings 9.30pm.
Your Reviews We visited Harvilles on a recent visit to York and had a fantastic experience. The cocktail lounge was very intimate and the cocktails were excellent. The restaurant was equally as good and the staff were very attentive. We had such a lovely evening and were in fact the last to leave but we were not made to feel that we had out stayed our welcome! I have been here a few times now and I will certainly be going back again and again. the food is beautiful the service is the best it can possibly be, and the cocktails are wonderful. they have a fantastic selection of wine as well! would highly recommend this place.
