La Tasca ~ Spanish Tapas Bar & Restaurant La Tasca is part of a successful UK chain of restaurants and this one in York is fairly new, housed in the small medieval back streets in York. A great place for a party to share some tasty tapas.
Your Reviews Visited on a Sunday afternoon in baking hot sun, managed to bag a seat on the patio under a parasol which was great. Waitress was quite arrogant but efficient, food was nice although not as nice as some tapas, quite greasy. Nice premises though, would return. lucyeff ~ 31 July 08
A friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The night we visited was extremely busy as there was a salsa dancing class taking place upstairs and we had to wait almost an hour for a table, this was not a problem as we had drinks at the bar. Most of the waitresses are Spanish which is nice. The food was good although not the best tapas I have eaten (we visit Spain frequently). The menu was wide and varied. We had a good night and would visit again. 6 Dec 2007 / 3 Stars
Food and service was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. The ribs are to die for!! Will definitely make a return visit. Sept 2007 / 5 Stars Recommended !

Fun, friendly with surprisingly good quality food and wine. Chicken wings in garlic and chilli scrummy, salads and fish nice too. Very reasonable on price.
