Customer Reviews Food was nice but not nice enough to justify the prices. £7 - £10 starter, £20 main meal plus £2.75 for EACH side orders of veg / potatoes etc. And they ONLY had sprouts which I don't like so I never had any veg. Service was fine though but I've had the same quality meal for a lot less locally. Dec 07 / 4 Stars, Good
The food is very good and the service was good too apart from the waiter forgot to bring us a bottle of water. The let down was the starters were too large and most of our group left about half of their main course as they had already eaten enough. The Moulton Brown toiletries in the ladies are a nice touch. The food was adequate and like a previous reviewer stated the starters are far too large. A couple of those would have easily sufficed for a filling meal. I was a little perturbed to find Foie Gras on the menu, I am not that keen to see that in a restaurant as I am of a delicate nature. Overall the experience was ok but there are many better places to try in York.
