The Living Room in York has a large restaurant and bar, situated on the first floor of the Merchant Exchange development adjacent to Ouse Bridge & The Queens Hotel (right bank on top photo). This period building was derelict for years until it was redeveloped into stylish apartments and bar we see today.

The restaurant focuses on sourcing the best quality ingredients, preparing them simply and delivering bags of flavour and texture on the plate. This is good, honest, robust and stylish food with its origins firmly in the European tradition.
