This May Half Term join us for Beatrix Potter themed activities around the Gardens and the House. A daily fun outdoor and indoor trail are included in the price of admission and you can meet Peter Rabbit himself on Sunday 27th and Monday 28th May. Plus a daily theatre show from £6 a ticket.
Gobbledigook Theatre and Frederick Warne & Co will present 'The Tales of Beatrix Potter,' a fantastic interactive theatre production for all ages. With a national reputation for creating imaginative twists on classic family stories, they'll bring a show inspired by three of Potters favourite tales - The Tale of Pie and the Patty Pan, The Tale of Samuel Whiskers and The Tale of Ginger and Pickles. Join Beatrix Potter and her characters on an adventure full of mischief and mayhem witihn Castle Howard's iconic grounds.
Beatrix Potter's animal friends will be taking up residence throughout the House as part of an indoor trail and the live characters from the show will be on hand for you to meet in the gardens before each performance. Plus, take part in an outdoor hunt around our very own 'Mr McGregor's' walled garden.
On Sunday 27th and Monday 28th May, Peter Rabbit™ will be making appearances at intervals throughout the day. Peter Rabbit™ will be visiting Castle Howard's Gardens, don't forget your camera as there will be opportunities to take photographs.

The Castle Triathlon Series consists of five weekend races throughout the summer of 2018, providing an open platform for triathletes of all abilities to compete nationally. Castle Howard Proms 2018

Set in the magnificent Gardens of Castle Howard, this spectacular classical concert will be a night to remember for the whole family.
Guest soloists include Lesley Garrett CBE and tenor Geraint Dodd who will be joined on stage by the London Gala Orchestra conducted by Stephen Bell.
The programme will include popular classics, songs from musicals and all of your flag waving favourites from the Proms including Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Pomp & Circumstance No. 1. With a Spitfire flyover, stunning lasers and spectacular firework final, this will be a magical evening of musical entertainment.
The Proms is an outdoor concert, and will go ahead whatever the weather. Please dress appropriately.
Guests with a disability who require a carer should select the Disabled Guest & Carer ticket, which gives free entry to one carer. Carer tickets are not issued online, to obtain your carer ticket you will be required to present a valid disabled ticket to the Box Office at the Main Entrance on the day. Our customer service staff will issue carer tickets accordingly.
Designated parking is available for disabled visitors with access to the concert via a tarmac drive. The concert arena itself is all on a sloping grass lawn. There is no disabled viewing platform or special seating provided. Special arrangements for car parking are made for blue badge holders, please have your badge on visible display within your vehicle. Accessible toilet facilities will be available on the evening.
This is a picnic style concert, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink (including alcohol in glass bottles). Please note the following items are not permitted: gazebos, tented structures, fires, barbecues, cookers, fireworks, lawn candles or any naked flames.
Gates open at 5pm. Main programme starts at 7.30pm. Interval from 8.30pm to 9pm. Finish at 10pm.
