New Vintage Emporium on Fishergate

York's latest Vintage Shop offers something unique.
Vintage Emporium on Fishergate in York is a true Aladdin's cave of Vintage Fashion & Homewares from 1900-1950. The latest Vintage Shop in York which opened earlier this month offering a unique mix of early vintage fashion and homewares. Plus there is a whole section of the shop dedicated to Vintage Bridal Gowns and accessories.

Take a step back in time to bygone days, this new shop has a fabulous collection of ceramics, curios and kitchen items from the 1950's as well as a splendid collection of dresses and hats from the 30's and 40's.

But it is the stunning and unique Vintage Wedding dresses that will bring "brides to be" from far and wide in search of the perfect dress for their special day.

Vintage Emporium is a joint venture between Keeley Harris from Discover Vintage & Diane Armitage of DC Collectables. Keeley has been running Vintage Fairs in York for the past 18 months and Diane has been selling at various fairs and events around the region. Both have been looking for a permanent base for some time. They meet 2 years ago while selling at Vintage Fairs and both have good knowledge of early fashions, textiles and homewares.

Keeley said "Vintage Themed weddings are really popular at the moment. I recently organised a Vintage Wedding Fair and it seems more and more brides are searching for Vintage dresses from the 40's & 50's. Having a whole room dedicated to bridal will make it easier for brides to see our fabulous collection."
