The one and only place to be this New Year’s Eve is York's grand Assembly Rooms. As we breathe life back into Lord Burlington's party hotspot from the 1730's, we are inviting you to a night of elegance.
With an evening reminiscent of Gregorian grandeur, delectable food, and variety of wines, we promise a night you will never forget. The New Year's Eve Ball 2023 is brought to you by the same team who delivered the sell out 'Coronation Ball' which was listed by the international leisure firm, Time Out as; "One of the best events in BRITAIN". We look forward to taking you into the new year with class.
AN EVENING TO REMEMBER
The night of all nights. Upon arrival you will be met by a sparkling wine reception under the dazzling chandeliers, as you walk through the architectural brilliance your ears will witness beautiful live music that will draw you into the magnificent evening ahead.
A menu fit for Lord Burlington himself awaits you as you take a seat at the banqueting table and enjoy the finest produce in the form of a four course menu.
As the night progresses into entertainment, an 18-piece band will serenade you as you take to the sprung dance floor. With a variety of drinks and your choice of the many ornately decorated anterooms we invite you to revel in the glory of the evening.
There is nothing quite like a game of croquet on our specially curated indoor lawn coupled with the option to indulge in our immense grazing table as we approach midnight.
WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR
We will invite you to step outside, into the shadow of York Minster and savour the atmosphere as Great Peter strikes twelve, as you breathe in the fresh air of 2024.
If you chose to stay in the warmth, our band and a piper will see you into the New Year with a special rendition of 'auld lang syne'.
Once we all have shared this magical moment the night will be brought to a close with a final set from our band.
We hope to entertain you on one of the most magical nights of the year!

24K Gold Standard Pagnotta Bruschetta - Toasted Pagnotta with marinated tomatoes, No'duja, fresh basil garnished with 24K Gold! (ve)
Cocktail di Gamberetti - Caviar & King Prawns mixed with a garlic rose marie salad dressing served with slices of toasted ciabatta bread.
Burrata Caprese - Creamier and more indulgent than mozzaarella, served on a bed of rocket, tomatoes and basil. (v)
MAINS
Herb Rolled Pork Belly - Herb rolled porchetta pork belly with crispy crackling and Roquito hot honey, Served with rainbow heritage carrots, garlic spinach and baby potatoes.
Pan-Fried Sea Bass - Served with rainbow heritage carrots, garlic spinach and rosemary sea salt chips, With a seafood sauce for pouring.
Roasted Mushroom Risotto - Rich and creamy risotto with mascarpone and madeira wine, topped with crispy sage and riserva cheese. (v)
Spaghetti Lentil Ragu - A hearty ragu of green lentils and mixed vegetables in a sundried tomato sauce. (ve)
DESSERTS
Chocolate Etna - Hot toffee sauce is poured over the dark chocolate dome at your table, revealing a hidden scoop of vanilla gelato on top of a heavenly chocolate fondant. (v) Dark

GRAZING TABLE
From 10pm our spectacular grazing table opens. A tablescape that is filled with artfully arranged meats & assortment of Italian Cheese, accompanied by Crostini Breads & fruits.

VIP Tickets
£195 Per Person Includes early access (6:30 PM), exclusive reception with the Event Director and the Ball's chief guests. Enjoy a glass of fizz as you socialise, with a chance to learn more about the amazing building.
Group Bookings
Our convivial banquet style allows for any sized group to be accommodated. We do have a small number of VIP tables available to exclusively accommodate groups of six or ten.
Dress Code
You can not be over dressed! Black tie and ball gowns or Mess Dress, with decorations.
