Gordale Scar is a scenic camping site with basic facilities but with stunning scenery and a stream running through the campsite from Gordale Scar. The site is ideal for walkers, located near to Malham Cove, Malham Tarn and Janet's Foss.
Gordale Scar is a dramatic limestone ravine close to Malham. It contains two waterfalls and has overhanging cliffs of limestone over 100m high! Great for advanced climbers.

(above) Janet's Foss. Foss is the old norse word for a waterfall or force and Janet was believed to be the queen of the fairies who live behind the the fall.
