York Maze Hallowscream 2019 Fri 11 Oct - Sat 2 Nov 2019
👻 York Maze were thrilled to be named the UKs Best Scream Park at Scarecon, the annual Scare Attractions and Halloween Events awards, beating off competition from the likes of Alton Towers and Thorpe Park.
👻 Last year saw some big changes with Hallowscream being housed under a giant marquee, a range of street food outlets, bar, live acts on stage, entertainment and five scare attractions including the new attraction 2073.
👻 2019 brings more thrilling changes. Enter the kaleidoscopic world of Barneggedon 3D. Put on your 3D Glasses to reveal a perplexing, space shifting world, where your eyes can't be trusted to separate what's real from illusion. Live stage show where you will encounter the travelling side-show of circus rejects. Will you escape being burned alive, impaled or worse come face to face with Death itself!
It is a ticket only event and tickets must be purchased online in advance. Tickets are not available on the gate but must be purchased online in advance at 👻 yorkmazehallowscream.co.uk
🎃 Children under 14. Due to the extreme nature of the scares we are not recommending Hallowscream for children under 14. However parents know their children best and we leave it to parents to make the final decision. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
York Maze Elvington Lane (B1228), York, YO19 5LT, just off the A1079 Hull Road.
Review: Our visit to Hallowscream... Hallowscream at the York Maze turned out to be fairly unique 'date night'; a fairground-style 'fun house' for grownups, with a scary slant, brought about by chainsaw wielding clowns, corn hopping werewolves and lots of other spooky-cool costumes. Well organised and an evenings worth of entertainment, if you're heading over for some freakish fun the RIP tickets are great for queue jumping ahead of the terrified teens, and the tasty locally sourced, reasonably priced refreshments, are worth a try too! This seasonal event is definitely worth a visit to get you in the 'spirit' for Halloween ;) waa ha ha haaaaaa!
We loved HallowScream at York maze! Part immersive theatre, part endurance event (for your nerves at least). I may never forget the chainsaw wielding clown or being chased through a moon lit corn field by werewolves. Recounted our adventure the next morning, it really felt like a half remembered nightmare, and still does. Totally surreal and totally worth experiencing, if you dare.
